Genomics Data Science Workshop

This website contains all of the necessary materials to run a 2 day workshop for secondary school students on RNA-Sequencing.

The course is divided into 4 2hr blocks:

1. RNA-Seq Introduction

2. Coding in RStudio

3. Machine Learning Part I

4. Machine Learning Part II

There are no academic prerequisites to this workshop, however, it may help inform leaving cert subject choices for transition year students by providing hands on experience in the interdisciplinary field of genomics data science encompassing biology, computer science and mathematics.
